Career opportunities and pathways for graduates

The provision of professional work-integrated learning experiences is made possible through partnership with the private and government sectors. Graduates are eligible to sit for the Certified Practicing Accountant in Papua New Guinea’s (CPAPNG) examinations to gain further professional recognition as Certified Accounting Technicians. Likewise, the graduates have established a reputation for competency and professionalism within the business community in PNG. The program also, emphasizes ethical and professional standards.

Entry Requirements

Applicants are required to have completed 4 years of secondary school or equivalent from a recognised institution. A minimum grade of “B” in English, a grade of “B” in Mathematics A, as well as “B’s” in all other subjects are required at the Grade 12 level of secondary schooling. Applicants need to fill-in the DDWU application forms specific to their status as School Leaver or Non-School Leaver and pay the necessary fee(s). School Leavers are required to indicate DWU as their first choice.   A quota of 100 school leavers is selected annually to the take the business studies for the first two years, who are then streamlined after a qualifying examination to major in accountancy or management
